For us, the news is less about a new logo and more about putting a name on something our engineers were already doing: building with Claude inside client projects, and getting certified in how to do it well. This post explains what the network is, what it formalizes, and what changes for the teams we build. ## What is the Claude Partner Network? It is Anthropic's program for firms that bring Claude to enterprise clients, with training, certifications, technical resources, and a public directory where buyers can find firms with implementation experience. Anthropic announced the network in March 2026 with an initial $100 million commitment for training, technical support, and joint market development. Members get access to Anthropic Academy training, certification exams for individual practitioners, applied-AI engineers for live deals, and a listing in the services directory. Certifications in the network belong to people, not companies. An engineer earns one by passing an exam, and keeps it current by using Claude in real work. ## What does this formalize for Nexton? It gives a structured path to what was already happening: Nexton engineers using Claude in client codebases, with the client's rules, on the client's roadmap. Most of the engineering teams we build sit inside US product companies, and we already work with clients that use Claude and Claude Code in their development workflow. Our engineers did not wait for a program to learn the tools. They learned them on the job, from the client's engineering lead, in the client's repository. The network adds three things to that: a curriculum that is the same for everyone, an exam that confirms the skill, and a credential the client can read on a profile. ## What changes for clients? Two things: Claude certifications become part of Nexton AI Ready, and the vetting that decides who joins your team does not change. **Claude certifications inside AI Ready.** Nexton AI Ready is our program for role-based AI capability. Engineers earn certifications issued by recognized AI platforms and industry bodies; Nexton runs the program but does not issue the credentials. Anthropic's certifications now sit on that list. When an engineer in your pipeline holds one, it shows on their AI Ready profile with the issuing body, like every other credential there. A Claude certification does not replace that interview and does not shortcut it. The interview answers whether someone can build. The certification adds a separate signal about how they work with one specific set of tools. We keep the two apart on purpose, because a credential about a tool says nothing about judgment in your system. If you build through Nexton, your engineers can join your team directly or through Nexton, whichever fits how you build. Neither path changes with this news. ## Why does this matter now? Because the market is asking for AI experience faster than it has learned to evaluate it. Most of the searches we run now ask for AI experience. Few of the briefs behind those searches say what that experience should look like, how it will be tested in the interview, or what evidence would be enough. "Uses Claude" is on nearly every résumé. It separates nobody from anybody. That gap is the problem we want to help close, and it is the thread running through this week's posts. We keep certifying engineers through AI Ready, and we keep working with clients who already run Claude in their projects. If one of those teams is yours, or will be, it is worth a conversation. ## FAQs **What does it mean that Nexton joined the Claude Partner Network?** Nexton is registered in the program. It gives our engineers access to Anthropic's training and certification exams; the credentials that matter belong to the individual engineers who earn them. **Does a Claude certification replace Nexton's technical vetting?** No. Every engineer is still interviewed by another engineer before you see the profile, and the written evaluation travels with the candidate. The certification is an additional signal, shown with its issuing body on the engineer's AI Ready profile. **Do I need to use Claude to work with Nexton?** No. The network changes what we can certify, not who we work with.
